2 blasts on whistle to commence shooting and 1 blast for a cease fire. ( Other grounds may use a horn)
40 Targets set in 10 lanes or more – Targets set out 10 yards to 55 yards
Targets will be 15mm diameter @ 10-25 yards, 25mm @10-35yards and 40mm @ 10-55yards
Any shooting position allows Prone, Sitting on a bag, Kneeling or Standing.
Some lanes are designated as Standing or Kneeling.
Standing lane can only be taken standing unless shooting Open Class.
Kneeling lanes can be taken Kneeling or Standing.
Open Class is you shoot all lanes in the seated position
To shoot the course:
Start at lane one: 4 targets shooting right to left, Pull string if you are not sure which target is in the lane or look for the target number.
Lane will be marked with a lane number and a extra board if it’s a positional lane(Kneeling or Standing)
1 shot per target
Mark scorecard with an X for a hit(Knocking target down) , 0 for a miss .
Commence to lane 2 then so on until finished at lane 10.
Lane etiquette is to pull the target back up onced knocked over.
Muzzle over line and trigger behind line when shooting the lane.
When not shooting rifle should be bagged or laying on cushion with muzzle facing over the firing line at all times
